Taking Ownership of the Coronavirus-Era Educational Void:
Designing a VirtualReal Space for Fun, Learning & Global Unity
We wanted to share the exciting news that the dream we've been speaking about of a global virtual integral school came that much closer to reality last week when we held our proof of concept event.
All of the children that took part in the proof of concept unanimously said that they really, really enjoyed the experience of learning this way and hope that the school will continue beyond the pilot event. The teachers were also very pleased and said that the kids were very engaged, and it is a great medium for learning. The underlying philosophy shared by all the educators and parents involved is that social connection is the greatest value in education, leading to profound learning experiences as well as realization of meaning.

A festive concluding ceremony of a 3-day proof of concept marathon for our innovative VirtualReal global school, took place in the private conference suite in VirBELA.
Educators, parents, and children arrived to the ceremony from different parts of the world. It was conducted in 4 languages: Hebrew, English, Russian, and Spanish.
A sense of community, belonging, and special fulfilment permeated the air of the virtual world. Everyone was happy to be in the same virtual space.
We used our lasers simultaneously by pressing F2. Then everyone clapped on F4, and danced a silly dance on F7
By the third day of the marathon, F7 has become somewhat of an annoyance. Yet, when 50 people do it at the same time, it’s very impressive - like a flock of birds flying synchronously. We were bound together by the same force of nature when we all pressed F7 and our avatars started dancing again this time in unison with each other.
Oren Leibovich and Keren Levin were the Masters of the Ceremony. They guided the crowd of avatars so masterfully and joyfully that I am sure that everyone behind the monitors was laughing out loud at certain moments. Especially when Keren suggested to point our lasers to somewhere without agreeing about it beforehand. And everyone pointed to Oren’s forehead. That was a very special moment of joy and connection!
A complete immersion into our shared experience was unbelievable! We generated this feeling of joy and happiness via computer monitors in a virtual world of Virbela. There was no space and time for that hour.
We felt it like a short momentum, and it left us fulfilled and uplifted!
That is the most important part of proving our concept of Integral Education. In order to become the integral part of society, we can consciously generate more positive experiences for each other. Only under the influence of such an environment, can we raise a new generation of people who can lead the world in congruence with nature. And it looks like that virtual reality is designed specifically for this purpose. It allows us to shift our focus from being self-centered to what becomes our thinking about another person’s experience.
